Matisse & Sadko – Promo Mix February 2012

Matisse Sadko1 450x299 Matisse & Sadko Promo Mix February 2012

House powerhouses* Matisse & Sadko just dropped a great hour-long mix that’s packed with high-energy bangers and of-the-moment anthems. I love good mixes when they come along — they’re awesome for studying or working because they transition in a distraction-free manner (I used to study to a playlist that literally jumped from piano nocturnes to Daft Punk…incredibly bad planning), and I personally think they’re even better for having people over. Hate it when your friends get drunk and grabby with your music and whine about how they just want to hear “Hot N’ Cold” by Katy Perry? Problem solved. Put this on, hide your iPod, and let the pros DJ for you. The fact that Axwell’s monster remix of “In My Mind” is immediately followed by “Wild One” 2.0 (which is in turn followed by the beautiful Tim Mason remix of Stars Come Out) should honestly be reason enough.

Tracklist:

Gotye – Somebody I Used To Know (Robotic Pirate Monkey Remix) : Funky Electro House / Dubstep Remix

Well here’s the second remix of the track that’s becoming quite popular ‘Somebody I Used To Know’ by Gotye. We already featured the Avicii styled house remix by Jakob Liedholm here, and now we get Robotic Pirate Monkey’s version. It’s got a funky electro vibe to it. It just might be their name, but almost everyone one of their songs sounds like the pefect soundtrack for a massive jungle concert, maybe it’s just me. This, like all there music has a very unique vibe to it. It changes up heavily throughout, and really can’t be held to one genre, other than Bass Music. Turn it up, enjoy!

Eiffel 65 – I’m Blue (Mister Perfect Remix)

Mister Perfect 450x301 Eiffel 65 Im Blue (Mister Perfect Remix)
I’m Blue is one of the best songs to represent the tackiness that was 90′s Eurodance, however Mister Perfect gives it the sickest Electro House remix adding in driving bass and dope synth work. Use this for your next power hour.

Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman – Roll The Dice

Finally Beatport got their shit together and put this song up close to a day and a half after its scheduled release. You probably already have their massive progressive remix of Coldplay’s “Scientist” as well as their plethora of other great uplifting remixes and thus should be eager to get their single “Roll The Dice”. This song is great from start to finish with easy piano and guitar melodies in the builds and
a pounding bass line and pulsing synth with an accompanying rising synth that crescendos in the break.
